House keeping or lack thereof

I vacuumed our downstairs den and then brought the vacuum up to our dining room (that's presently over run by toys) fully intending to use it later that day.
That happened a couple of weeks ago.

Josiah and Titus,
One day when you get older you'll probably reminisce about your younger years. In the slight chance it comes up, I want to be clear, there is no need to pretend your Mom was good at keeping the house clean.
Out of sheer love for your Dad and you boys she tried her best. But it seems she turned up slightly deficient in the area.

  1. I am right there with you! :) I do not by any means claim to be a good housekeeper. I try hard, but it's just not my favorite thing in the world.

  2. Soooo glad to hear I'm not the only one.
I struggle with housekeeping so much and feel guilty all the time. I am a "homemaker", right?

Ugh! I'm a work in progress in this area :).

  3. Hilarious! I am the same way - I HATE housework.

And by the way - you are a total natural blogger. You already know how to word things and how to make pictures "make" the post. I'm so glad you started showing us your amazing talent!!

  4. Greta, there's too many other things to feel guilty over. And there is no need to bring linguistics into this. ;)

  8. I do the same thing, drag the vaccuum into the room that needs it the most, but never actually use it. I guess I'm hoping it will suck the dirt up by osmosis.
